We are delighted to attend two very big industry events next week. Will we see you at LeWeb or Dreamforce?
blueKiwi CEO Carlos Diaz will be speaking on a panel at LeWeb on December 9, 2010 at 11:20 AM on “How to Leverage Social Networking In Your Business.” He will present along with Steve Apfelberg, VP, Marketing, Yammer, Kevin Eyres, Managing Director, Europe, LinkedIn, Jason Rosenthal, CEO, NING and Dan Serfaty, Co-Founder & CEO of Viadeo. The panel will be moderated by Martin Duval, Founder & CEO of bluenove.
Regarding his upcoming involvement Carlos said, “In 2011 it’s time for maturity in social business—LeWeb is a place where you end the year and see new trends for the following year. Social business is part of the trend and we are very proud to be speaking on a panel with people like Yammer and LinkedIn.”
blueKiwi has participated in LeWeb for the past three years and of course we wouldn’t miss the fourth round of the hottest European Web event. Forget Paris? How could we! Last year LeWeb featured Her Majesty Queen Rania Of Jordan, Marissa Mayer (Google) and Paulo Coelho.
Next week should be just as exciting with speakers like Jeremiah Owyang, of Altimeter Group and author of “The Two Career Paths of the Corporate Social Strategist,” Tomoko Namba, CEO of DeNA (large mobile and social gaming company) and more.
I will be attending Salesforce.com’s (SFDC) annual event Dreamforce and am looking forward to the keynotes including Bill Clinton’s. In addition Stevie Wonder will be performing–not bad! We will see if this performance tops Oracle Open World’s Black Eyed Peas show.
I am anticipating new announcements this December since SFDC’s ChatterExchange2 event in New York City. There I interviewed Alex Dayon, EVP of CRM of SFDC. Check out the podcast on itunes to gear up for this year’s Dreamforce show. It’s podcast number 52.
In addition, last year directly after the Dreamforce event I interviewed SFDC CEO Marc Benioff who was very pleased with the 2009 turnout of more than 20,000 people.
Benioff told me he was excited that “Salesforce.com hit $1 billion in revenue” in addition to the fact that “you can now get all your enterprise apps on demand.”
I’m sure Benioff has more surprises in store for us. I’m looking forward to the event and I hope to see you there. Please email me if you would like to meet at the conference at bld at blueKiwi-software.com.
P.S. Happy Hanukkah to those of you who are observing!
